I’m married to a smart, funny man named Stephen, and I’m the “girl mama” of an energetic toddler. In terms of education, I started by getting my A.A. at St. Petersburg College—formerly known as St. Petersburg Junior College—and finished by completing my Ph.D. (English, Literature) at the University of South Florida. Along the way, I also earned my B.A. (English), M.L.A. (Liberal Arts), and a Graduate Certificate (Comparative Literary Studies). I enjoy writing articles, teaching, walking, and reading. My favorite aspect of life is celebration: I love to celebrate the “big” and “small” things, whether it’s a milestone birthday or the everyday blessing of life.
My mission is to help others break through barriers, communicate with effectiveness, and develop their potential. My three favorite verses from the Bible are Jeremiah 1:5 (“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you” [. . . ] NIV) and I Corinthians 3:12-13 (“Now we see but a dim reflection in a mirror, then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love; but the greatest of these is love” (NIV). These verses assure me that we are all boundlessly known, bountifully loved, and boldly made. We were made on purpose—for a purpose—and we can accomplish great things together.
